a steady progress

kevin working on the wall frame

kevin is making progress on the wall dividing the 2nd & 3rd bay of the garage. the door marks the eventual dividing line between the office and guest areas, with the guest area being to the right of the door. once mom is finished with the school year, he should be able to finish the wall and plan out the electrical specs.

kevin and eden are off to dunkin donuts for .99¢ muffins this morning. then to lowes for some severe weather paint so mommy can freshen up the joint on her coffee breaks.

yesterday, kevin put the first stud up for the office wall…

small town nice

the delectable .99¢ chocolate chip muffin I am currently enjoying comes courtesy of the guy in line in front of Kevin at DD this morning. apparently, they engaged in a ‘nice-off’ (“you go first.” “no, you go first.” “no, really, you go first.”) and the other guy won. :)

safety patrol

simon is very concerned about safety. not so much his, but certainly the safety of others. last night, our neighbor’s daugher-in-law and granddaughter, who are visiting from France, were about to cross the alley to come over and say “hi!” simon saw a car across the street, 2 blocks up and freaked out saying: “car coming! car coming!” i had to assure him that the little girl (who’s 2) had a mother who was on the ball and watching out for her safety.

tonight, as we were walking around the house in the twilight, he saw a woman walking along the street, said “hi!” and was delighted when she said “hi!” back. as she walked away, he said “i’m simon.” (so cute.) but as she got further away, he noticed a car coming and screamed: “be careful!! BE CAREFUL!!” i’m hoping this translates into few to none when it comes to number of emergency room visits.
