I have to be honest, I didn’t really reflect on the significance of today. So much has changed since I sat watching the TV in disbelief as 9/11 unfolded. If I were to have gone into the office in Alexandria that day, I may have noticed a wayward jet heading down the Potomac. But I didn’t. After all my friends and family were accounted for, there was not much to do but pray and give thanks.

So, today, I again give thanks. And pray for 61 children that will never see their father’s face in human flesh. And kiss my wiggly one, who is greeted by his father’s smile every morning. Thank you, Father.
